"....and additional photos taken at night time...."

Check that photos are date & time stamped relevant to the parking event.
Comments stage is already covered in the third post of the NEWBIES thread. Standard.

Thank you! will take a look at it and do it tonight.

POPLA is often lost. Pointless.

Do stick around, as the MHCLG is committed to launch a public consultation 'soon' which I take as 'any week now'. Due to Parliamentary Summer Recess - and based on memory of previous timelines with the last Government when launching these Consultations - I hope it'll start this month.

We'll need all PPC victims to respond and you can also say what's wrong with POPLA!

  • Subject: Advice Needed on Euro Car Park Charges

    Hi there,

I’m seeking advice regarding parking charges from Euro Car Parks. Recently, I received a letter with a charge notice of £100 for failing to pay for parking at the Wolverhampton Waterfront car park. I submitted an appeal along with a bank statement showing the exact date and time I made the payment, which matched the timings in their charge notice.

However, my appeal was rejected because they claimed they had no record of my vehicle's registration number in their system. They believe I entered the wrong registration number when making the payment, despite my having a receipt on my iPhone.

Now, they are demanding an additional £20 for administration fees, stating that if I pay this amount, they will close the case. I feel this situation is unfair, as I believe I have acted correctly. I am reluctant to pay the £20 because, in principle, I’ve done nothing wrong and feel that Euro Car Parks is scamming me.

Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this situation?

    Thank you!

    Hey all!

In relation to this PCN. I recieved a letter of claim today.

Should I find the email for euro car parks/DCB legal and send this:

    Dear DCB Legal,

    Your reference 000000000

In response to your Letter of Claim on behalf of your client, Euro car parks limited, I do not appreciate your need to pursue any alleged debts owed to Euro car parks limited. I must inform you that if you do issue a claim, I will be defending it robustly.

I confirm that I, XXXXXXX is the vehicle's hirer and keeper for the purpose of the corresponding definitions under Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 ("POFA") and we write to dispute this claim.

As a regular visitor to the MoneySavingExpert Parking Forums, I am well aware of your modus operandi and educated enough to know how to handle your scattergun approach to firing off claims. I am also aware that your claims are usually baseless and that they rely on the hope that the recipients will be intimidated into paying the demanded amount. However, I can assure you that I am not intimidated and will fully defend myself.

Therefore, I suggest that you stop wasting our time with what we both know will result in a discontinuation before any claim reaches court. You may as well save your client the court fee and concentrate on other, more gullible victims of your robo-claims instead of chasing after me.

I will not be making any payment to you or engaging in any negotiation with regard to this matter. Should you proceed with a claim on behalf of Euro car parks limited, I will defend it and seek to recover all costs incurred as a result of any baseless claim.

    Yours sincerely,

    00000000
