Can you get a PAC code if you've lost your SIM card?

    This is EXACTLY what @PHK advised you not to do on another thread - you don't cancel the contract, you obtain a PAC and then use this to transfer the number to a new network and cancel the old contract.

    Hope I'm wrong but I would imagine that number has gone back for recycling.
    With respect, the suggestion of reporting the current card as lost and having it renewed first was not made, but I can see how sensible it would have been.

    You were told twice not to cancel the contract. That you should request the PAC and that using the PAC would end the contract. 

    But you did not follow that advice.

    I consider myself thoroughly handbagged.
    Pleased to report that daughter's own email to Talk-Mobile (with the threat of formal escalation) delivered the goods - she has her PAC.
    Lesson definitely learned - thanks all.
