Ooh Horizon have finally cracked the POFA!

    Only took them 13 years...

What's the date of issue/posting of the letter and what's the date of the parking event?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

  • The notice was issued on 14th of February, and the date of breach was 8th of February.

Knowing my luck they changed it for me lol, but reading the newbies q&a, it is quite a tedious process for appealing especially if it gets to court. But paying these thieves is really annoying

But you won't ever need to pay them.  Nor do you have to appeal.

I’m confused, if I don’t appeal or respond or pay, can’t they take it to court?

Well they can take it to court EVEN if you do appeal or respond.

They always threaten court proceedings and if a court claim is filed that doesn't mean it will go to a hearing nor does it guarantee them a win. Court claim discontinuations are a regular occurrence as this thread shows.

You may see appealing and responding to a court claim 'quite a tedious process'. Unfortunately it's a necessary process, there's no magic wand to wave to make your pcn disappear.

It sounds like you perhaps haven't read

NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST

No worries about getting a claim form. That's what you want. Far easier than appealing and it includes a Mediation stage where people have settled for a tenner. .

I have just had a Horizon one cancelled. I appealed but also complained to the manager in tesco's (I had shopped there but he said that was irrelevant).
I selected registered keeper in the drop down and genuine customer.
Definitely appeal! And also complain to the shop.

Mamaduck2, what did you write in your appeal? I have also received a PCN and in the same boat.

Replywithin14days, what path did you follow?
