Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's frosty here as well.
It's hairdo day today thank heavens, I look like nothing on earth, and will be pleased to get a trim.
Yesterday was so unmemorable that I can hardly remember what I did! A bit of shopping, made a Bolognese sauce to portion and freeze, went to the quiz last night, that was it I think.
Mehefin, sorry to read that Scooby is having hoof trouble, sounds painful.
Ruby, Rob's sister has a bit of a cheek, expecting you to fund him when she already owes you money. I feel for him, none of it is his fault.
Dp1, thoughts to your dgd, and anyone else who is poorly.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Morning
Just getting light but at least it's dry. Yesterday was a unmemorable day for me also Scarlet. Apart from the usual chores I didn't do much else.
Dp1, Lidl do good offers, I've saved over £17 so far this year. Make sure you download the app to receive them.
Allie, enjoy your break. Leek and Ashbourne are lovely places to visit.
Gammon for dinner tonight. Let's see what today brings. Have a good day all, hugs to everyone who needs them.

These lighter mornings are lovely, even the frost looked good. The only event for me yesterday was my monthly nail appointment. The local lass who does it is going off travelling for four months at the start of May so I'll revert to natural nails for a wee while. I only started the BIAB as my nails were weak, flaky and brittle so I'm hoping that they have strengthened by now. We have worked out a final infill in five weeks time and then the soak-off in May.This morning my cleaner is coming and I have a short meeting about the charity I'm involved in. I'll enjoy coming home to a freshly cleaned place. I've got rubbish to take away and some recycling too.Hugs to all.12

morning all
I had a great day at the NEC looking at all manner of campervans and associated ‘stuff’. Some huge beasts that are almost 9m long and cost c£240k. Needless to say that’s not my option!! Then went to meet someone who has the van I’m most interested in - great to see it in the flesh and I’m pretty much sold but am visiting the dealer and borrowing one for a few hours next month.Off away in my current van for a few days - weather forecast has changed and d it looks damper now - oh well! Thanks Remmie, I’m looking forward to exploring the area as haven’t been for years,
take care all

Morning all. No frost here today - hooray!
DGS2 was a bit out of sorts yesterday and wouldn't nap at all. I think there are a few big teeth coming through so hope he's better tomorrow, when we are going to Whipsnade Zoo for the day. I'll be layering up as it's still rather cold.
Tried to make some date roll biscuits yesterday, something I haven't tried before. Well, I don't know if it was me or the recipe but it was an absolute disaster so will have to make or buy something today.
First load of washing is in and I'm off to help at the Larder soon.
Hope everyone's day goes well.13 -
Morning you lovely folk and thanks GERS for the start. Cold here again but no frost for us this morning. We are all still forecast the 16 deg tomorrow, unfortunately spoiled by showers and wind!
It was an unmemorable Tuesday for me also and not a lot got done in the way of jobs either. Another day of sloth!
It's bus trip and lunch day today which will be nice as these last couple of weeks I seem to have been like a recluse .Bus buddy rang yesterday to confirm she's looking forward to it too. . She's still suffering from the after effects of the fractured pelvic bone but getting there slowly. It's frightening really how easily these things can happen. A simple trip over the threshold.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, sad or lonely. And Scooby mare too. A worry for you Mehefin. Thoughts with DP1's little DGD too. I hope she is going on as well as she can. Take care all, stay and warm xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all
Cold here this morning but no frost which is good.
Rob eventually turned up 1.5 hours late yesterday 🙄 we missed the film and the other two were quite anxious about it all they are both Autistic so find it hard to understand delays etc @weenancyinAmerica Rob is only on respite atm so his benefits still go straight to his mum, his other sister who also has LD but not as severe as Rob left home a few years ago when mum was in hospital and decided she did not want to go back, the SW had a hell of a job sorting out her finances it took years and it was discovered that she had been a victim of financial abuse for years she never had a penny to her name while growing up not even enough for a cup of tea poor thing, if Robs stay becomes permanent then they will have to do the same for him, I’m hoping it does become permanent as he seemed really happy and clean and well fed yesterday which he never is at home.
Dinner tonight will be bacon egg and chips nice and quick and easy, I am enjoying not doing the longer hours anymore it’s nice to get home that bit earlier.
I have a wash about to finish which can go on the airer before we go out, it’s his work day in the cafe today which he will enjoy.
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning everyone
We had sunshine for a little while yesterday but it was so cold, much the same forecast for today.
I got some of little ones outgrown shoes and clothes listed on Vinted and Ebay yesterday - one pair of school shoes sold within 10 minutes!
DD spoke to her dietician yesterday, who had already spoken with her consultant - she's to be tried on a different higher calorie milk feed four times a day to see if it stabilises her blood sugars.
I brought some school work home for her yesterday, I think she may be coming up here for a couple of hours later, so we'll get it started.
I'll go down the hill for a cuppa with mam and dad this morning then I've got some shopping to do.
Hope everyone has a good day x12 -
Morning all,no frost here, bit grey again after yesterdays sunshine. We had a ride up to a Woodland Trust site overlooking the town and hills to visit a coffee/cake shack my DB recommended for the lemon drizzle cake. My SiL says it's divine. It's popular with walkers and dogs and by the time we got there, the cake had sold out.DH had to make do with a choc chip shortbreadNothing planned today yet, my order was delivered at 8 so all put away now. I'm going to make some Aussie crunch, DS bought some cornflakes speciallyWe have food choices in the fridge now, so I'll decide later.RR good to know Rob is being looked after well.Dp1, hope the appointments are useful.Mehefin hope Scooby makes a good recovery, it's worrying as pets get older.I hope you all have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
DH and I ended up doing some gardening yesterday as DD was WFH. We will continue to take up the floor in her bedroom today - it's noisy and dirty. We need to insulate/soundproof the void as it's above the kitchen and she can hear everything - even the kettle boiling! Hopefully we can sort out the creaking too.
Sorry to hear Scooby-mare has a poorly hoof @mehefin - hope she's on the mend soon x
Hope the new feeding plan works for DGD @dp1 x
Glad to hear Rob is being better looked after @RedRuby1231 x
Have a good day everyone
