You do not need to update your claim per se, just because your daughter has been awarded PIP, but there may be implications to your UC award depending on your circumstances, so a little more information will help others advise you better.1. How old is your daughter and are they living at home with you?2. What PIP award did they get (Daily Living, Mobility, which rates)?3. If they were awarded Daily Living, do you provide care for them?4. Do you rent your property, and if so is it Privately rented or a social housing/council property?0

Because they receive the enhanced rate PIP for daily living and you care for them, you can claim the carers element on UC if you are not doing so already.Under Report a Change > Caring for someone, you can report that you are now caring for them and the carers element of UC should be added to your UC award. You can report that the caring activity started on the date from which they were awarded PIP and ask for it to be backdated.1
