Depending on the night / day percentage split, electricity only from Utility Warehouse can be the cheapest. I guess I'm in the minority, but I have 87% night and 13% day split across the year. Here in the West Mids their rates are:
    Day 36.156p
    Night 5.38p
Yes I know their day rate is high, but for my usage no-one else comes near. Current annual costs:
    Utility Warehouse @ £846
Next cheapest Octopus Snug @ £971
After that, Fuse comes in @ £1184, followed by everyone else, with Ovo way up @ £1520

    I agree.

If you can shift enough load into the 7 hour off-peak slot, then UW take some beating.
We are currently at 78% off-peak and I expect this to be closer to 95% once our new Powerwall 3 battery is commissioned in the next few days.
I even took out an expensive SIM only deal with UW to get a lower off-peak rate and a 12 month fix. It made sense when viewed in total.

Tomato Energy's Lifestyle tariff also offers a very low 5p off peak rate, but for 6 hours, along with a couple of 2 hour 14p slots through the day, and a peak of 24p. However, as an early adopter of their Lifestyle tariff, I switched away from them due to problems with their billing and very poor customer service.
