Yes, this too. I looked up the website they tried to link me to and it charges £24 for a check that Autotrader charges less than £5 for. I assume they refer back to the Autotrader one, send you the report and pocket £19motorguy said:

I am a private seller of a vehicle, I have owned the car for 12 years now and I know it is HPI clear, not written off or been involved in an accident, never had any finance added to it.. I have put that all of that on my listings/adverts.
However I am having a few people asking me to do a HIP report or a super motors report myself.. I thought that it was the buyers responsibility to do this and not the actual seller? They keep wanting me to pay to do the reports...0 -

There is no point for seller doing one, you could send them a fake PDF, or an old one - just before the crash.. if buyer wants to be sure they need to do it themselves.
