answer: Managua
One lucky reader and their guest will have an adventure in coffee and discover Nicaragua – from the fine architecture of the capital, Managua, above right, to the beauty of Lake Managua, top, itself.
The pair will visit the mountains in the northern cloud forest region, where Percol’s Nicaragua Fairtrade coffee is produced, and take a trip to a Fairtrade coffee co-operative. There they will be able to enjoy a unique experience as they watch the coffee production process and learn about the distinctive flavours of coffee.
*Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
This month’s prize is a 14-night trip for two to Nicaragua with return flights from Heathrow.
The trip is guided; it includes all transfers in Nicaragua, b&b, £300 spending money and some excursions.
A full itinerary will be provided by Trips Worldwide.
The trip must be taken before 28 February 2009 but cannot be taken between 1 July and 31 August 2008, or 20 December 2008 and 5 January 2009.
Open to UK residents only.
Winners must be 18 years or over.
Calls should cost a maximum of 25p from a BT landline. Calls from other networks or mobiles may vary (average duration, one minute).
Calls are handled by Telecom Express, 7 Swallow Place, London W1B 2AG.
Unless otherwise stated, winners will be picked at random from all correct entries received once lines have closed and the deadline for postal entries has passed.
The prize must be taken as offered and is not transferable.
There is no cash alternative.
Entrants must not be employees of John Brown, the John Lewis Partnership, the competition sponsors or anyone professionally linked with the competition.
The judges’ decision is final: no correspondence will be entered into.
One entry per person.
They will also be able to visit one of the projects run by Grounds for Hope, the Coffee Kids charity that has been supported by Percol since 1998 (for more details, see coffeekids.org).
