Replacement Clutch Job Gone Bad

A week ago, I called the RAC to report that my clutch pedal was stuck.
Long story short, they stated that the clutch in my car had failed and needed a replacement, and gave me the business card of a local mechanic company who could do the replacement in my driveway
Below are the steps I took...
* Contacted the company by email / whataspp to describe the fault / request
* They then sent me a quote via WhatsApp for the cost of parts / labour
* I agreed on the quote and x2 mechanics came to my house and replaced the clutch
Below are the problems...
* The mechanic took the car for a test drive on my request after the clutch had been replaced to detect any issues etc. On his return there was a loud scraping sound, on which he said it was the brakes as had been open to the rain for several hours
* Later that evening I drove several miles and the scraping sound was deafening, so contacted the mechanic who came back the next day and realised the brake disk cover was catching on the brake disk and fixed it.
* After 24 hours I noticed the steering was heavier than usual and that the steering wheel would not re-centre. Again, I contacted the mechanic who came back the following day and observed that some plastic housing was rubbing against the steering rack and fixed it.
* x48 hours had passed and there was vibrations coming from the front of the car, which over the course of the next x24 hours got so bad, that it was almost impossible to change gear or drive the car as the vibrations were severe!
* Saturday night (yesterday) I contacted the mechanic and obviously because it is the weekend I don't expect a reply until Monday. However, I arranged for the RAC to inspect the car, and they issued the following report...
Summary...
Firstly, the company has been trading officially for just over a year and I approached them because of the recommendation from the RAC. However it transpired that the RAC bloke who made the recommendation is the brother of the company owner who did the work!
Anyway, am waiting for the company response on Monday, however am concerned that they may ask for more money, considering the clutch they fitted, was not paired with the dual mass flywheel as suggested by the 2nd RAC visit. And I was only quoted for the clutch parts and labour.
However the RAC chap stated that in reality, they should always be installed as a pair, as an imbalance can cause the issue the car is now experiencing
So my question is this...
I was quoted for work to be carried out on my car, which has since failed. Is the company obliged / liable to fix this problem as described in the RAC report, even though it will more than likely mean that another replacement clutch will need to be fitted along with the pared dual mass fly wheel.
Again I was never offered the option for the additional flywheel in the original quote, so obviously I couldn't decide to have it fitted at the same time as the clutch as was unaware that this could be a problem

Did you ask (specifically) for the clutch to be replaced? Or for them to "fix the fault with the car"?0

So essentially asked them to "fix the car"

So got a response back from the mechanic and he basically said NO (ie he aint taking responsibility and wants me to pay for the work again and the replacement clutch / dual mass flywheel!
Contacted citizens advice and am going through the motions of raising a complaint under the
Consumer Rights Act 20150
