I grow strawberries in a large hanging basket next to the kitchen window. Last year our cat was on the inside kitchen windowsill going absolutely daft, because a blackbird was filling its boots less than 6 inches away on the other side of the glass3

I love the idea of growing strawberries in hanging baskets! I'm now wondering where I can put up some basket hooks!
I only have mini Alpine strawberries which I brought from my old garden when I moved - most of which grow in my gravel path but I get a good crop from them and they taste really great. I have one large pot of them too and they thrived last year.
