Since december 24, my meter has been blank due to a power cut. I’m with octopus energy. I cant switch as I have no readings. I’m not even getting an estimated bill. I am still paying my dd. I’m waiting for a replacement meter. Advice please!

Do you want to switch or are you just complaining that you cannot?
After 8 weeks or bringing this to the attention of your supplier you can raise a complaint with the ombudsman service.
I would get your usage for last year over the same period you have blank and aim for it to be the same amount (that should work in your benefit as it has been a colder winter this year)
By chance is this a smart meter because if so you can check if it is still sending data even if the display is blank.0 -
I want to see if it’s in my favour to swap. It’s both my smart and main meter that are blank. Yes I will get my usage for the last year, good advice!0

But if your smart meter is blank, do as said above. Also get a complaint raised with your supplier to have the fix it, and raise an issue with the Energy Ombudsman if they've not done so after 8 weeks.

My meter, the thing that sits in the box is blank due to an outage in a power cut. Can’t remotely reset it, needs an engineer to replace it.0

@maydenover, you've been watching too many of those TV adverts and are confusing the little portable In-Home Display (IHD) with your actual (smart) electricity meter. If your actual smart meter has failed then your IHD isn't going to work because that gets all its data from the smart meter.Reed0

Or are those all blank too?Edit to add: a picture is worth 1000 words. This is an L&G meter with a Toshiba hub, but the arrangement sis similar for all SMETS2 smart electric meters.N. Yes, I agree, that's a blank meter!I think your best option will be a complaint:It's also interesting that your comms hub isn't attached to the top of the meter. Instead you've got a Kaifa FL100 flying lead adapter, with the comms hub being the beige box in the lower-right of your photo. Are any of the LEDs on that blinking?N. Hampshire, he/him.
