Park & Control PCN

Hi. Received a PCN from a company I’ve never heard of before. It’s a free car park in a takeaway and apparently is a maximum of 90 minutes. I did not realise this and did not think I would go over 90 minutes anyways. There was 2 other cars with me but I think they arrived slightly after so must have been ok. Im pretty sure we get a grace period these days? Because to me this PCN looks like pure pettiness from this company? We are talking about a matter of minutes here if that? The letter says my arrival was at 22:57:40 and I left at 00:29:31.
I have read the newbies thread and not sure what to do as my first step? Do I contact the landowner or dispute directly with Park & Control? Although the letter was dated 4th Feb, I only received it yesterday so don’t want to run out of time to lodge an appeal.
With regards to landowner, I have found a contact us link on the takeaways website, not sure how much luck I would get with that.
Just need some clarity and what someone else would do? Thank you.

Always complain to the landowner or managing agents or businesses, plan A
Download and study the joint IPC and BPA joint code of practice for details on minimum grace periods1 -

I guess I will have to contact the takeaway through their contact us page on their website. Is there like a template we can use for this kind of email or just state whatever we feel is necessary? E.g. I feel like it was harsh as I wasn’t given enough of a grace period to leave.Thank you.0 -
Study the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, usually about the 3rd one down
The pcn says Unauthorised parking, not an overstay, clearly wasn't registered in the business at the time
That link only shows half of the pcn, just the front, not the back
So Big John's lawley, middleman, Birmingham ?
GSV street view doesn't enter so although the signs are on the poles, unable to read any1 -

GSV street view doesn't enter so although the signs are on the poles, unable to read anyOh right, I’ve visited this takeaway before many times and never had this issue. There is no where inside to put your reg in to register it like other shops do. Neither did my friends receive a PCN and they were in there around about the same time, if not maybe abit less by a couple of mins.I only uploaded the front as I didn’t think I needed to upload the back?Yeah I went and had a look today at the signs, they are visible as you enter but it was light so easy to see. The day of the PCN I went in the night0 -
Did you take signage pictures you can show us ?
Do their pictures show where the vehicle was parked ? In an unauthorised area maybe ?
The back of the pcn may be important, not just the front, both sides will have wording on them
It definitely says nothing about an overstay, so I suspect that you are theorising a possibility1 -

I was parked in a normal parking bay. Somewhere that I have parked before in this car park. The back just had the usual stuff about how to pay and appeal. I havn’t got it with me now that I am not at home but can take a picture later. It doesn’t say overstaying, unless they have made a mistake? Because that’s the only reason I can think of?0 -
The link only shows a vehicle arriving and leaving, not a person
The vehicle was parked in a normal bay, by the driver
The point about the NTK PCN letter is, does it comply with Pofa 2012 in both timescales and wording ? Yes or No ?
That should be checked first, can't be done with only half of the pcn. Different companies use different wording, there is no "usual " stuff
Unauthorised Parking is not a usual phrase for an overstay, but is where registering the vehicle in the premises is required, or possibly if the vehicle was in an incorrect place on site
If you are making assumptions, then post 1 should have stated the exact phrase used, facts , followed by any assumptions, as assumptions1 -

Or shall I email the restaurant and make a complaint under the assumption I was given the PCN for going over the 90 minute stay by 2 minutes? This has never really happened to me before in a free car park. What I do know is, I know some places have a system to put your reg in when parking is free, this place does not have that at all.0
