i just want to know if i would be legally obliged to provide a working dishwasher if it is include on the fixtures form.
i would be happy to pay for the removal cost that the buyer incur by having to get rid of the machine, but it would be expensive if i am obligated to provide a working machine because it is listed as included on the fixture forms.0 -
yes a reasonable person would assume it was a working dishwasher
that said, when they move in and find it broken there is probably not a lot they can do0 -
You do realise that it is possible to behave in a morally good way when buying and selling? Aligning yourself with the highest common denominator in life, rather than the lowest, is never a bad thing! If everyone chose to behave well, then the whole property market would be a much nicer place.I appreciate that you were asking about legalities not morals, however your own wording from the start on this underlined that you were fully aware this would be poor behaviour.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Why not just fix it and avoid all the legal/moral dilemmas? What's actually wrong with it?1

it was disconnected last year because there was leak in the dishwasher pipe.
getting rid of it myself would be a better option than fixing an old dishwasher.
@user1977 - update, hey, thanks for this comment as it has made me check my emails and there is no record of the tenants saying the dishwasher doesn't work, which they would do if it broke, so i think they just didn't use it and it is probably still working.0 -
people aren't moral when it comes to property transactions.Whatever. Get it fixed, get it removed, list it on the F&F as broken. If you list it and pretend it’s working you’re behaving poorly. I don’t know the legal implications but I hope the karma comes right back at ya.0
