Top of the forum, same place where the old long version template was

Use the new short version and adapt it with your couple of paragraphs from the long version if you adapted the old defence,  so a hybrid of 122 lines or less
This is so frustrating. Even  with the new template it seems that the line has a maximum character count of 77. After amending my sentences and removing all paragraphs it still won't fit. I literally cut my additions down to 6 sentences.

    That's good.

We are now using a much shorter template defence that should fit in the Defence Box on MCOL, if your extra lines aren't too much.

Have a look at the new version. You may have to shorten your bit to make it fit. We are no longer advising to email defences but make sure you hit SUBMIT once you are happy that you've fitted it all in.

    Lose some lines if needed.

No gaps between paragraphs. Obviously no headings needed if using the bespoke defence box.
I will remove sub-headings? So remove: frustration of contract and just put a new point number?

Just have a go saving it on MCOL. Lose lines. That's for you to do!

If needed, remove the new template's final paragraph.

    Normal! But don't disappear!

    This month, we need you:

PLEASE bookmark this thread below and do Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet. See this thread: -

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-8-weeks-from-11th-july-2025/p1

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.

Any questions on the Consultation please ask - on the dedicated thread - but I've covered up to question 20 already in that first post, openly telling everyone what I'm going to put and/or what sort of evidence you might wish to use for your response, if you agree with what we'll be saying from our experience.

Whilst your answers must of course be your own, there are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people may not think of without our guidance because we see cases every day and we know the legal background. However, people like you have lived & breathed the intimidation, greed and unfairness first hand so your voice is needed!

I will complete the form and send it to : parking@communities.gov.uk. I hope this is right @Coupon-mad ?

You can complete it online. Doesn't have to all be completed at one visit, you can save it and return until you're finished then submit it. Think there's an option to get copy of your response too.

If you can only email them then sobeit because they want it to be accessible. However, as I say in the first post there, the MHCLG will prefer it if the survey is used.
