Hoping you are not going to do a DIY will - solicitors like them.Dodgysailor said:Dear all anyone knows a good free template for a will that I can download and complete at home? It is hard to find...

If you really don't like the people who will administer your estate or want to cause your loved ones a complete headache (and probably a big solicitor bill for your estate) when you're gone... Then DIY.Dodgysailor said:Dear all anyone knows a good free template for a will that I can download and complete at home? It is hard to find...

If on the other hand you'd like a will that is correctly drafted, so easy for your executors to administer.... fork out the couple of hundred a solicitor will charge to do it properly.1 -
Although this is a money saving site, none of the regulars on this board are going to recommend you DIY your will unless your estate is very small with no property.
A few hundred spent with a local solicitor could save your beneficiaries a lot more if you make a mess of DIYing ir or fail to take into account all the what if situations that could happen between making a will and dying.1 -
Just imagine - I leave my property 13 Acacia Avenue to my friend John Smith .............................. 30 years on when you pop your clogs, you don't own Acacia Avenue anymore , you now know a couple of John Smiths . etcNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

You don't even need to spend any money on a solicitor, loads of charities do free wills with a local solicitor. This will be fine for you as I'm assuming your will is a very simple one that's why you are thinking of doing DIY?0
