Just worth mentioning that I signed up to County Broadband's full fibre-to-the-router connection when they were new to our area and were offering a 300Mb/s connection for the price of 50Mb/s for the first six months. When I received my first full-price invoice for the faster speed, I of course asked for the connection to be 'throttled back' to 50Mb/s and for the billing to revert to the standard 50Mb/s price. This they refused to do on the grounds that I should have let them know before the six months was up, so I'm now stuck for eighteen months with bills of £48/month instead of £28. So just be careful!

To be fair what you took was probably an introductory price for the 300Mb/s for the first 6 months, and then to go up to the standard price after the six months. You signed a contract for the 300Mb/s package.0
