An app for good real time electricity monitoring? Hugo? Bright? Loop or what?

The Fuse app got itself up and running this morning and this afternoon Bright was verified. Both recognised my smart meter really quickly.
So far Bright is running well and I particularly like the comparison graphs which, as it is supplier agnostic, enables me to tweak my heat pump weather curve and compare its energy consumption with previous settings I was using when Octopus was my supplier. Not bad at all.0 -
masonic said:Yes, I have it installed on my phone and I use it when data is not up to date elsewhere. It is free. It seems to be geared around marketing their solar panel installations, but you can ignore those parts and just access the usage data.Your data would have been instant with Octopus because you had a Home Mini, so they were hooked in as if they were an IHD in your home. Whereas Fuse will have to poll data using the mesh network managed by the DCC.
I am downloading Bright data also from here: ( although it does not always tally with my Bright app totals ??? )

I have been using the free Hugo app but they have emailed me to say the free version has been discontinued. I do not have access to my meter room (I live in a block of flats) so will need to research another option.0

@sprocket1 I would try the Bright App if I were you, it generally gives better detail than the Hugo Free App gives/gave. A lot of the time it can give data to within an hour, but there are times when their servers or the DCC are busy and data can have a gap of a day or two before it catches up.again.0

Only real time app I am aware of is Octopus with the home mini. Although I think its possible with Bright if you are one of the lucky lottery winners to be able to buy their IHD.If you mean recent usage like earlier in the day, Bright, is the obvious one, will need a working IHD I think to use for authorisation.
Hugo is a mess, seems paid only and especially as they have officially now shut the free app down.Bright to be fair is pretty good, if it glitches out with gaps, then can force it to refresh by scrolling down till you see a spinning arrow.0 -
Bright do have other means of authorisation if you don't have an IHD.0
