BT text message about full fibre - I didn’t ask for it!

Has anyone received a text from BT saying you have booked an engineer to install full fibre and an open reach engineer has been booked? I have done no such thing! I am with BT, I have rang them and they told me I requested full fibre on 11 Jan, which I didn’t! The woman on phone said she can cancel the order to which I said yes and carry on paying my monthly bill as I am. No full fibre.
seems very strange, just wondered if anyone has had the same thing?

Would that correspond to my phone number if my house number was used? I’m in rented and am not allowed to install full fibre as it would need digging up mine and others front of property.QrizB said:It could just be one of your neighbours trying to order it, but having fat fingers when choosing the house name/number?0 -
You can order full fibre using an address if you do not want any telephone service at all.
I do hope your landlord realises that the days of copper lines are numbered and that digging work will need to be done in the next couple of years.1 -
Could it be that LL has ordered it?Rtj123 said:

It's more than likely a digital voice migration with FTTP install at same time, all that will be available on renewal0

Depending on your contract with BT, you might be due an automatic, free full fibre upgrade. That was part of my contract with BT. I waited and waited. The Alt-Net arrived first.0

It would only need digging up if there was a blockage in the duct. Openreach thread the cabling through.Rtj123 said:
