Hello, I took my PC of two and a half years back to CURRYS for repair. They charged me £79.50 after i misheard it as £79 when actually £75. First saying transport only but one staff member said in depth diagnosis and though seeming unhappy agreed. They then said any replacements were extra but a black screen following failed BIOS update was under manufacture warranty of 3 years and simple. A week later they charged me £230 for a new motherboard said new but refused any proof. I was told i had to agree first and had not so i refuse. They said they put back my motherboard but i spoke with thee repair people and found they never repair only replace then repair to use in the next repair. It meant i pay full price the next customer to pay full price and as saying they got it from manufacturer another £230. Thinking they might have done whatever to my PC i agreed to pay but that they return my original motherboard with my PC. They left me on hold but came back and agreed demanding full payment to return my items to the store. I refused they said it was policy as customers have stolen back items. They agreed to reset my PC and promised refund of my £230 if not as promised. I was called to collect but handed my PC no reset no motherboard. I phoned repair, they asked why i wanted my property then wanted £75 to return it. I told them 9i had refused part delivery and they offered to post it to me which i refused as signing for something unseen seemed stupid. They offered to return 7it to tore gin claiming they did nothing wrong but posted it and i complained. I finally got a reply by writing the CEO though his heading was CARPHONE WAREHOUSE. They said i misled them as both items by then were in store and wanted the receipt for the £75 i never paid. This is now in its seventh month but tocut to the final response giving me 7 days or selling my items or charging me rent they admitted to throwing out my motherboard and said they did a diagnosis listing so many faults my

my PC could not start up but it did. Throwing my motherboard away before promising its return and refusing my refund. The diagnosis was refused then said done refusing result now said given early when i was told it didn't work we replaced the motherboard and it did. I found CARPHONE WAREHOUSE the new owner admitted training staff to sell insurance to the insured were fined but made £444 million profit. I refused insurance ion a TV they halved the price and i took it but a fault found in days was refused refund replacement or it put in writing. Their responses have contradicted themselves but i am autistic have no help and the stress is too much i have to collect. PS they don't put up sales prices in store so buy and no refund ie a webcam £179 sale price £66 in the CURRY till. Any help please0

Electronic items are not thrown away, they are sent for recycling.
Sorry that is the only bit I could work out 🤷♀️Life in the slow lane0 -

Best bet is to collect the PC and use a local repair replace going forward rather than a big company.
It's unclear OP what you've paid/they've charged you thus far, if you wish to provide a brief breakdown of this aspect you might get some further commentsIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
Do you have a friend or colleague who understands the situation and could help you rewrite that? It's almost impossible to understand any of it.0
