Hope you can help
PCN from Excel Parking after being photographed leaving a car park in Grantham St, Lincoln at 2.43, with our ticket expiring at 2.27.
Unbeknown to me it was a camera'd-up small car park. Had assumed it was a Warden-patrolled one. Had actually assumed it was a council car park.
Is there a scope for challanging the £100 PCN in Court?
I dont see on the sign where it mentions the issueance of a PCN for overstaying, or mention of how long after ticket expiry you will be 'fined'.
Do I have a leg to stand on here??

The sign is important, because that's the contract.
The issue for P&D is when the timer starts. If it starts from the moment you buy the ticket, that's one thing (a conventional car park)
If it starts from the moment you pass an ANPR camera at the perimeter, it is in fact timing you before you have parked or agreed terms at all. Indeed it is still timing you when you have ceased to park and are driving to the exit.
5 mins to park, 5 mins to read the sign & pay plus 5 mins to exit and voilà you have a PCN even if you parked for exactly the period paid for.

Errm... you do know it (the template appeal) won't work and isn't designed to work? Nobody pays Excel. Just ignore them until you get a LBC or claim form.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD1 -
My argument in the appeal is that I seeimg to my 4month old baby so left 15m late.Coupon - seriously ignore it? Not the usual advice on this forum though(Incidentally, You helped me a few yrs back with a successful Spinningfields claim /\ /\)
