How to get mse rate on trading212 cash ISA

Went to open a cash ISA with trading 212 the other day through the mse link. But it says download the app then the app says 4.9%.
Came back to it today. Mse page doesn't say you need to do it through their link anymore. Interest rate is down but again. The trading 212 app is lower. How do you get the rate advertised on mse?

  • The MSE link should take you to the Trading 212 page and show 5.03%
Just going straight to the Trading 212 site or app directly (not via the link) will show 4.90%
You MUST go via the link to get the MSE deal.

But the link takes u to download the app. Then you open the app and it says 4.9?
  • Are you doing this on a mobile or desktop?
If you're on mobile, delete the app, try the link again and it should take you to the Trading 212 website
I use desktop so I've no idea if mobiles are "suggesting" using the app! (in that case I'd say no to the app for the moment until your signed up)

  • I think I know what you mean now!
Doing this on a mobile takes you to the Trading 212 page where "Get the app" appears about 10 times!!
I guess the only way to be sure would be to sign up for the Cash ISA but look for somewhere to enter a  "Promo Code" as your signing up (using the code MSE).
Other than that I would use a desktop PC to sign up (you don't get pestered for an app there!!!)
  • Just checked,
Sign up for the Cash ISA, (ignore the rate for now, 5.03 or 4.9)
When you're signed up look in the options for the section "Promo Code"
Enter "MSE" into the box, assuming you're a new customer and you use it within 14 days of opening the account, it should be applied and your rate should be 5.03%.
If anything goes wrong at all there's plenty of support at T212 and they're usually quick to deal with things.

  • Just opening mine, but I can't see the advantage of using the Promo Code "MSE" — the rate including bonus is exactly the same?
