Ok, the ASHP is in and I'm panicking. I have a Honeywell Home T6 thermostat that I don't seem to be able to set up properly. I only had a cursory explanation of how to use it and everytime I save a schedule it seems to disappear or change.
My husband was complaining that the house was cold last night and I just couldn't work out how to set the temperature,
I really want to make this new system work, but I feel like i’m failing already!!! Help!

Yes, you ought to be able to divide your gas kWh by 3 to get your electricity kWh when using the heat pump.  Hopefully you will find that the divisor works out to be a bit more (3 point something) when you actually get that heat pump.
Good morning. Our heat pump installation was completed yesterday late afternoon. We now have a Baxi heat pump with a Honeywell Home thermostat.

I have scheduled the heating to be

    0600 - 0800 19 degrees
    0800 - 22.30 21 degrees
    2230 to 0600 17.5 degrees

This morning the temperture showing on the thermostat is 15.5 - why is that? Any help would be gratefully received. Also, what do I need to do to make this as efficient as possible. We only have one thermostat in the 2 bedroom house. Thank you

I've asked for your heat pump set-up questions to be split into a separate thread.
There is a lot of experience amongst the users of this forum and I'm sure we can help you out.

Which heatpump have you got (make and model number etc) and do you know how it has been configured.

Although your programmable room stat may be set to the temps you desire you really need to know how the heatpump has been set - what is the flow temp, has weather compensation been set and has it got its own time/temp controls as well. When are you heating hot water (and to what temperature) have you got heating or hot water priority set.

There's usually quite a bit of info on t'interweb, including YouTube video's on how to adjust and understand what is going on

Hi, I am a complete novice with ASHPs. I had one installed this week.

It is a Baxi HP40 with a Cyclone 180l cylinder with a dual coil as I also have solar thermal water heating.

I will have the Tomato Energy Lifestyle tariff from Monday, and I want to try to make this system as economical as possible while keeping the house warm.

The house heat loss is 2.74kw according to the heat loss report from the supplier’s survey.

The supplier is coming to see us on Monday to show us how to use the system.

    Any advice is gratefully received.

    You've already got a thread :)
Have you managed to get some heat out of it today? Or are you still cold at 15C?

Sorry, I'm new at all this forum stuff.

Yes, the temperature has been 20° for most of the day.

That's good, it means it's working and not sat there waiting for an error to be cleared!
You've got a Honeywell room thermostat? What other controls / programmers did they install? Photos might be helpful.
As mentioned in the other thread, I'm definitely not a heat pump guru but this sort of info will help the people who are, when they turn up.

Thank you. The Baxi control panel is in the airing cupboard with the cylinder etc. A few pics of it and the Operation Parameter - I was asked to provide these for another forum on a different site.

The simplest thing to do for starters is to set your heat pump to run at a constant output flow temperature and choose the highest temperature that it is capable of.  Once you are satisfied that it can keep your house at the temperatures set by your Honeywell thermostat you can start to make adjustments.
