CCJ- wrong address

Hello,
Last week I received a letter from a debt collector regarding an unpaid CCJ. After many phone calls I’ve found out I had an unpaid parking ticket from 2022, there was a court judgement in Dec 2024. The letter I have received was already outside the 30 day window, so now I have no chance of paying and it being removed from my file, without a set aside.
Basically, in the last 2 years I have lived in 4 places, so the letters never kept up. The letters regarding the ccj were sent to my last address and I can prove I updated my VC5 form at the time of my move, so had no way of knowing. However, I cannot prove I updated my VC5 after the offence in 2022, looking at my emails I didn’t update until 2023, so that would be my fault for not getting the initial letters about the parking fine.
My question- do I have a chance at a successful set aside as I was not aware of the recent court proceedings, or will it likely come back at me for the first error of not updating the address? Anyone with experience please let me know, I’ll pay for the set aside as I mainly want the CCJ removed

I don't have the CCJ experience you require,  but if it was incorrectly served to an old address you should definitely be successful with a set aside because they should have traced you first,  study the recent in depth replies by Ldast on that topic

Yes you should have updated your address with the dvla and also with the DPO at the parking company,  but they should have traced you before issuing it to an old address

If it is set aside,  the ccj will be removed

The set aside judge will also expect you to fight or deal with the original claim,  they don't like simple credit cleansing

Easy to set aside. Mandatory in fact, due to them using an old address.

You WON'T pay for the set aside in the end if you follow our advice because you'll ask the Judge to order costs against the Claimant.

    Same advice as here earlier:

Is it £267 for ParkingEye, letter from DCB Ltd as usual trying to lie snd mislead you about the amount of a £197 judgment?

Thank you. The judgment is £304.76, client is DCB legal and it’s direct collection bailiffs Ltd who have sent me the recent letter (aka the only letter I’ve had alerting me of this). I’m going to submit the set aside, still scared of the threat of bailiffs showing up and clamping my car but want to fight it. Thank you for the reference for support of completing the set aside

DCB Ltd won't be around for collection as they would have to apply for a warrant and they won't do that as it is less than £600.  Just get on with your WS and N244 application - judges like to see defendants acting promptly upon discovery of a CCJ.

    Won't happen as it's under £600.

Read the CCJ set aside guidance because at that sum, this claim was brought by DCB Legal so you need to firstly ring the CNBC to confirm that it was them, and to ask for a copy if the POC to be emailed to you (see any other set aside thread, read a few).
