Why do I have a gas charge when I didn't use any energy?

Hi all. Looking at the British Gas app, it seems I was charged for some gas I didn't even use. It was between 5.00-5.30am. I was asleep at the time. I don't have any central heating on and I've got an Ideal combi boiler. The gas I *did* use was a couple of hours later and that's not showing. What is going on?

I've found apps can be somewhat creative when reporting "real time" energy consumption at times. As long as your 05:00-05:30 usage is in line with what you used a few hours later, I wouldn't worry too much.

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
