There are discount codes as well if you look around
Petrol fabias seem to use an 027. An 012 has the same height and width so it could fit but ....
I didn't know what CCA meant, now I do .. so a higher CCA is better, in cold weather
400CCA is 400 cold cranking amps - the maximum possible the battery can deliver.
45Ah is the battery storage capacity.
More amp-hours means the battery will last longer if you leave the lights on.
So long as the CCA figure is above the starter motor's draw (probably about 150A at most), there's no point or benefit in more.0 -

I think Drivetec batteries are made by Yuasa. The code numbers are the same, and the specs.0

Yuasa definitely used to supply Halfords branded batteries, likely still do.Most Yuasa batteries are made in Ebbw Vale. Anecdotally, they are not very good at welding the cases together as I had one arrive split along the join line. It looked like they just warm the 2 pieces with a hot plate then push them together and hope that they fuse (they don't)I got a replacement without question, but I was left unimpressed.I buy Varta or Bosch now as they have a different construction method (I think they are both made the same German factory anyway....)I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

DriveTec batterys sold by GSF have the manufacturer and address printed on the battery ...
Yuasa Battery Europe LTD Swindon .... see the photo below.
Halfords brand are Yuasa made as well .
So I dont understand the one line mis information above ......offering no proof to the contrary !
The op is likely sorted now anyway.... but GSF DriveTec batterys have a far better/higher spec than Eurocarparts Lion brand batterys
Drivetec type 012 400CCA 45Ah
Lion type 012 330CCA 40Ah
Although the ECP Lion battery can be picked in local ECP stores if bought via CP4L at a discount therefore can be returned/exchanged back at your local ECP store within 3 years so you can effectivily get ....two batterys for the price one...and Lion brand batterys have been known to fail
The Lion batterys are a much lower CCA and Ah spec which is not ideal ....
The Drivetec 012 was £30.38 at one point on GSF ebay site then £32.28 or near enough and will beat Halfords on cost and possibly CP4L Lion batterys when on sale .
The DriveTec 012 has a much higher CCA and Ah spec than a ECP Lion 012 battery and they are cheaper or similar when Ebay is doing a discount deal as per prices stated.
What I dont know is if a faulty or failing GSF DriveTec 012 battery bought from GSF Ebay can be returned instore within the 3 years warranty
ie. if you can return it to your local GSF store in person for testing because shipping a old battery isnt going to happen via shipping costs, packing and all the rest of it .
If anyone can advise on returning a DriveTec battery bought via GSF Ebay under the 3 year warranty... thanks ..eventually I will stop by a GSF store and ask myself.0 -

I've never had any success with returning batteries under warranty. They usually claim it's been run low, lights were left on, alternator over charging or something similar, and it's hard to disprove.0
