Hello again, now back. It's dry outside, the forecast says sunshine all day.
I'm going to the Eye Hospital this morning for treatment on my right eye, 2 'repair' procedures. I was told to go prepared to stay overnight if necessary, but I probably won't have to, it's just a precaution. My little bag is packed ready to go.
Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of any sad/ poorly people.
Take care folks.

Morning
Hopefully the weather is better where you are. Sadly raining here.
Just a day at work not one of the busier days.
I got home bit later last night but fed abd watered in good time so did a machine wash. And finished off Death in Paradise
Tea tonight chilli with rice. Sometimes i find it tricky to think what i want for that evening dinners at 5am but least makes things easier when i get home from work...
Enjoy your day15 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope the procedures go well and you get home tonight.
Yesterday saw torrential rain for most of the day just a glimpse of the sunshine for a hour then rain again, hope today is better. I have a routine hospital appointment first thing then into work, very important visitors this morning so tea and coffee making on the cards!
I had a lovely weekend in London with friends of DS2 - the chap spent a lot of time with us when they were young as his Mum died when he was 13 and his Dad was in the forces - he's an extra son! Him and his partner have a lovely little 2 year old boy who I see as another DGS so it was great to get to know him, not seen him since he was a little baby. We spent a day at Battersea, there's a little children's zoo in the park that was ideal then we went round the newly renovated power station - what a change! The train there and back were good and quite relaxing.
Glad your DDad is coming round to the idea of help Nanny.
Hope the holiday makers are having a good time.
Poor Rob, he's certainly having a rough time at the moment - is his Mum still in hospital?
Pleased to hear Esben is on the mend Snoozer, children seem to bounce back so quickly.
Hugs to the poodles and those feeling sad.
I have a pile of washing to fold and put away so will do that and head for the shower.
Have a good day, take care. XX16 -

Morning all - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet - and I hope that all goes well today at the eye hospital.Yesterday's main achievement was eventually sorting out appointments for my two shingles vaccinations.
I was eligible this time last year until NHS Scotland changed the rules (almost overnight) which made me wait until this year. I'm so pleased as I remember my now late DFather having a terrible time with shingles, it really brought him very low both physically and mentally. So, number one in March and number two in June. Happier days.
My lovely postie took my parcel for me, it was pre-paid so she could scan it on her little machine. Another happy moment. This morning my cleaner is coming so I'll be heading up north to do some shopping. I'll collect my friend who lives in halfway between me and Oban, she asked again so I'm happy for the company. After that, not much on the agenda. The weather is misty and damp.I'm glad you had a lovely time in London @Camelot - all good stuff being offered for your VIPs today.Hugs to our poorlies - and those who could use one.14 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons, hope all goes well today.

Morning all
Very cold here with a sharp frost heating is on 🥶 I am off to collect Rob today and will see how his foot is before making a decision about taking him to work, it seemed slightly better yesterday but he still had a good limp on, his mum is still in hospital and won’t be coming out until Rob is in placement for respite as she is just not capable of looking after him atm, he seems happy though which is the main thing.
I have an Ocado delivery coming later this afternoon I thought I had better book a delivery in case we couldn’t get out due to his foot I got a 25% off voucher so quite a good deal.
Dinner tonight will be something from the delivery and I hope that OH or dd will cook as I shall be in late again.
Scarlett hope the procedure goes well today and that you are back in your own bed tonight xx
Have good days all and take care xx15 -
Morning all. The sun's just coming out here but we had frost overnight.
@Gers I'm having my shingles jab next week but, as far as I know, it will only be the one visit as I'm now over 70. My younger friend had two separate jabs, a few weeks apart.
Off to do my bit at the Community Larder soon and will then catch up on some chores at home. Making a chilli for dinner tonight, with leftovers for later in the week.
Stay safe and warm everyone and best wishes to Scarlet for her operation.13 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I hope all goes well for you today and you don't need to stay in overnight. Sounds like a good w/e was had CAMELOT. We have brightness coming up over the moors and it's a better forecast than yesterday when it turned wet, windy and so cold.
We dashed into the nearest of our new lunch options yesterday in view of the foul weather. It was ok. The food was nice, as were the staff but we won't be going again. It wasn't for us. Today is bus trip day and, as usual, it will be Skipton. We have promised ourselves that when bus buddy's mobility improves, as well as the weather, we will climb out of our rut and go somewhere else for a change!
Nothing planned on the job front today other than taking out the accumulated recycling from the garage and putting it in the bin ready for me to wheel out when I get back, ready for emptying in the morning.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Good morning, hope all goes well today Scarlet and you're back home soon.
Dry out although there is a slight frost, forecast is for sun. Fingers crossed.
I had a lovely chat with my DD yesterday. She said she knew she was getting older as her birthday present was taking her dog to the vets to have 3 teeth removed and getting a £800+ bill. Ouch.
Don't know what today will bring, apart from some washing that needs doing.
Ruby, poor Rob, hes really going through it.
Izzy, I hope your chat with DH does the trick. I think we all have these chats at times.
Have a good day all hugs to all who need them, take care.13
