DWP UC first claim falsely declared salary I didn't get

Hi all, thanks for your responses.
Its very confusing for me too. This has been going on for 6 months.
Just to clarify. I was paid monthly at the end of each month. I left mid September 2024. I received my paycheck for September's work as i was signed off sick for the last week. My last payslip, after that, received mid October, following me resigning on the 1st october, said final payslip - SSP and Holiday entitlement totalling £524. deductions - £524. = 0. My bank statement shows my last salary for September and nothing after that from that company. There was no overpayment. Nothing more after my September pay was given to me. HMRC clarified this for me. They said they can see this and dont understand why DWP cant. I have showed DWP all this evidence. At present, I am still waiting for the outcome of my mandatory reconsideration as the RTI I raised came back 'undetermined'. I have been communicating with DWP about this through my UC journal and theyve just said "we'll pass this onto the payments team"!
The reason I think there is something suspicious is because mid November, I started working for an agency, got paid weekly and there were no issues with declared wages with them?
What where the deductions?

Deductions were holiday pay and SSP that the OP received that she was not entitled to receive because she ceased employment. These payments became overpaid amounts that she was required to pay back to her employer.
They deducted them from her last payments as opposed to billing her for them
As the OP had ceased employment this processed as a stand alone payment, not added to her pay and tax to date of cessation.0 -
But that makes no sense. I don't understand how SSP can be overpaid, it's only paid after a period of sickness. Holiday pay would not be added and then deducted, if they weren't due any holiday pay then it wouldn't be added in the first place.

Reading this thread I'm not clear the actual issue with the money and deductions, and wondering that the DWP might not be clear either.

E,g, If your given 30 days leave per year but leave at the halfway point then your entitled to take 15 days leave. If youve taken 20 days leave in the first 6 months you owe 5 days pay. Hence holiday pay will be owed.

Thanks everyone. I have since received a response from my mandatory reconsideration (someone from DWP in Birmingham, very far from me!?) and asked for me to re submit evidence I had, even though it had been passed to them back in Nov 24!) ) and they have decided that DWP made an error and it was in fact, a miscalculation on their part. I am currently waiting upon the action they will be taking. Hopefully that means I will receive what I should have received back then!1
