"Your trying to sign in too often"

Hi, I get a red banner with words to this effect when I sign in.

It's annoying - I don't know why I'm getting this.

Because of it's regularity I've been careful to do the sign in very slowly - make sure it's only one click of the mouse each time.

But still I get the red banner.

Today, first time to sign in. No accidental double clicks. Went slow.

Can anyone please tell me why I'm getting this?

It's been going on months now and it's got to teeth grinding stage.

Just to clarify - most people sign in and stay signed in. So they don’t need to sign in very often. 

Is there a reason you need to sign in regularly. For example are you logging out or clearing essential cookies?

How often are you signing in?

It can be first thing in the morning PHK. when I haven't signed in that day before.

No I don't stay signed in to anything and yes, delete cookies on closing.

It doesn't occour always if I close the session and then sign in again.

That's why I get frustrated with it.

My mouse doesn't always work so I thought it was that, thought it hadn't connected, clicked again but no. I can be really careful and slow and the sign will randomly appear. I can't work out why.

I never stayed signed in, cookies deleted when browser is closed or move to another site  yet never seen that message.

Its a mystery!

Sometimes it's a red box saying I'm trying to sign in too fast. Slow down.

I'm not known for being speedy unless chocolate is involved.
