    Yep, plan A,  always the best option
  • Plan A 2 months later, after you’ve paid the charge 🤪

    Well done on that result!

    Re the MET Parking one, I would also say the easy win of POFA has been binned, so probably don't bother to try POPLA unless you fancy trying the argument already given in a reply:

    - supposedly a prohibited area, therefore:
    - no offer of a parking space existed;
    - no consideration (something of value) was offered, therefore
    - there was no contract;
    - at best it could be pursued by the landowner as trespass but not under contract law;
    - quote the 2024 POPLA DECISION that was won on that basis.

    Then add the usual two points in the 3rd post of the NEWBIES thread.

    CERTAINLY DO NOT PAY IT!

    That's sponsoring the covert operation and funding the next PCNs. Don't be that person.

    And tell the driver NOT TO APPEAL a private 'fake PCN' (invoice) in future without asking here first.  It would have been a pushover win if they hadn't blabbed about driving.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I just wanted to update this thread after having received another scam parking charge for somewhere else due to "overstay"...

    This parking charge got cancelled eventually by going back to BP and complaining. I didn't hold out much hope as they are such a large company but they cancelled it after I sent in a receipt of what was purchased in the garage.
