Morning. Wordle in three.
Paid stuff today but no excuse not to fly between shifts as well as walking Poppet.
Have a great day everyoneSpend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, packed my lunch bag, completed Wordle in TWO!!!, completed Strands with no hints and Connections with no lives lost, eaten my breakfast, and supped a brew.
Had tea with an ex-colleague at the village pub yesterday, and came home to a phone call to let me know that P's brother died yesterday. Aged 69. He's been poorly for a long time so not unexpected but still a shock. And breathe....
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for work. Setting off early as, thanks to roadworks it took me 35 minutes to get there yesterday. (Usually takes around 15-20 minutes. I did it in 10 minutes once - not speeding, every traffic light was green) and twice I found myself stranded on a roundabout. I'm OK with straight queuing but hate being sat on a roundabout. Especially if some pratt pulls out in front of me and stops me from getting off the roundabout. And yes that did happen to me yesterday. Twice.
Heyho. Let's see what today brings. Hope you all have a good day.
I need parrots. Headache right between my eyes.

Morning all,
My list for today
Attend uni lectures
Do paid stuff
Take the dog for a long walk
Tidy the top of the drawers in the bedroom (it seems to have become a dumping area)
Make a start on uni assignment (aim for 500 words)
Wash up the dishes, dry and put away
Do uni prep for tomorrow
Take DS to/from drama group
There is only a short list from me again today, but I think that is everything I need to get done. I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday8 -

Made it to the CS yesterday with a couple of suitcases to discover the bedspreads that I'd turned into curtains 30 years ago had been sold so they won't be coming back here. I'm fine with it, nostalgic for them, but pleased that someone snapped them up so quickly. They were lovely quality Indian bedspreads that came up beautifully when washed so they always looked new. I hope they enhance someone else's home and I'll think about the superking windows again at some point but there's no urgency about that. What the CS did have was a spotless blue lampshade that's absolutely perfect for our en suite bathroom. The last one was in an abysmal state and was chucked when the room was re-decorated and the new blue one looks great in there. At the beginning of the month I decided to rejig what I eat and when I eat it, and have had the most amazing results. It seems breakfast is key for me so I've been having bigger, and protein-focussed breakfasts, like a couple of scrambled eggs with cheese, or two boiled eggs, or scrambled eggs with smoked trout, (this morning yoghurt and fruit because I'm going out to lunch) and then a small snack at 3.00/3.30pm when I feel the need to eat something like a slice of toast with smoked mackerel paté, or chicken liver paté - again high protein. Ideally I'd have had some oatcakes yesterday with the smoked mackerel paté but I haven't made any recently. Supper is exactly what we would normally eat including a chocolate pot for pudding. I've been losing 300g a day with that regime and I'm delighted with it. I know I can't eat toast or porridge for breakfast because it makes me feel dreadful, but it never occurred to me to eat a bigger protein-focused breakfast so I don't feel the need for lunch, and don't get the mid-afternoon munchies for sugary things. I'm making Shakshuka today for a couple of breakfasts tomorrow and Friday.Just thought I'd put that out there because I'm astonished by how quickly my tendency to gain weight has reversed and I'm now back to where I was in April last year weight-wise, a loss of 3lbs in 4 days. All it took was me focusing on exactly what I love eating and wanted to eat for the main part of the day because Belovéd and I work out our evening meals between us, and he's not that flexible about supper, whereas we both eat different things during the day and this seems to work really well for me.So, freezer sort this morning, followed by a fridge sort, followed by lunch out with a neighbour and then dusting if I can face it.Better is good enough.7

Hope you feel better soon Round
That sounds good with the high protein breakfasts Honey_Bear, I have been eating scrambled eggs for the last few days (to use up the eggs mostly!) so hopefully it works for me too.
The sky is lovely here and I want to play in the garden, but we are likely to have visitors next week so I need to actually put some things away. My effort so far has been to strip my bed, and wash the eiderdown. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Just so you know, DD, who is a qualified dietitian, often eats scrambled eggs for breakfast at the weekend, she does overnight oats/porridge on work daysDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Hello,
Creeping back in quietly after a couple of days away. That’s it now - multiple hospital visits loom over the coming months, plus there is only so much concentrated conversation that I can have with DH!Not a lot of flying intended for the rest of the day, beyond cooking dinner and putting the kitchen to order. I need to finalise tomorrow’s Mr M shop, and make a list for tomorrow’s trip to the big town when I take DD’s car in for its MOT and service.
Hugs, Round x Expected doesn’t necessarily make it any easier x7
