Charlie_21 said:Good morning all,
Thanks @Valli for the list, I've made a start on the kitchen already and will finish this after work. Got the porridge cooking and tea stewing atm. Also on my list for today is to return some parcels, pick up a parcel, hoover all the floors (again) and keep on top of those nasty dishes that seem to pile up out of nowhere...
Blood test later…almost forgot to book it as itsmeds review tomorrow. Planning a lazyish day though there’s ironing to do. And a cardi to sew up.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Had a couple of insomnia nights in a row so feeling a bit meh 🥱😩, flying will be more like shuffling around & muttering ...
✔️Open windows
Air & remake bed
✔️DW
Top-up shop, incorporating 30 min walk gah
FUPA laundry
Wipe dining/coffee tables and leave tidy
Wipe dining chairs
Tablecloth to WM, replace with fresh one
Wipe sticky coasters & placemats
Vacuum all of downstairs (aka nominate OH)
At least the sun is out, might buck me up when we go out (doubt it mutter, grumble, drag feet)

I have to confess that I dodged out of yesterday's stuff when I saw it was the office...... couldn't face time in the room of doom. I cleaned the ensuite shower yesterday, but that was about it.Back on it today, I had a visit to our local county town. I had some jewellery repairs I wanted doing and thought it likely they would be cheaper than the jewellers in our town. OMG, I haven't been in the main town for a couple of years, and it's not got any better. Empty shops everywhere and some open shops with boarding across the windows where it's obvious there's been some trouble recently. Copious use of the F word everywhere, there was a bloke walking down the street just behind me yelling 'you're in my F'ing phone' over and over. I thought he was on his phone, but the next thing he said was 'I'm going to kill someone' at which point I did an abrupt turn and crossed the road. He wasn't on his phone, just sucking on his vape. Disappeared into Sainsbury's. Pity the folk in there.....I didn't hang around after I'd found the jewellers, particularly as I'd cashed in some broken gold and had a good amount of cash in my purse. Found the busstop and came home.So Flying today, had a good whizz round the kitchen worktops which was much quicker than last week as I'd been very thorough then and it still showed. Cleaned the hob. Wiped the shelves in the fridge, washed out the salad drawer and the glass shelf above it which catches crumbs. Still need to do the shelves in the door but they can be done next time. Wiped all the lower cupboards and drawer fronts. Didn't do the top ones as need to get steps out. Nor the kickboards as CBA. Gave the filters in the tumble drier a good clean, but need to drag out the one that filters the condensate. It's a bit scary as last time we cleaned it, the next time we used it we had water everywhere, hadn't seated it back in correctly, and now the TD lives on top of the WM so it could be a real issue if it happens again. Been round with the feather duster and shifted some cobwebs and dust off the top of picture frames. That will do for today.Make £2025 in 2025

Evening. The only plan which didn't go ahead today was painting the shed door because it rained. I hoovered through instead.

All dishes are done! Worktops, cupboard doors, hob & bin all wiped down. Emptied the fridge for a goof clean and put everything back in. Replaced my sponge and cleaned the floor. That's all I could get done in the kitchen today.
Picked up my parcel & managed to arrange a couple of returns, I'll need to print one of the labels when I'm in the office tomorrow. And lastly I hoovered all the floors.
And finally, I watched a bit of tv and did a little more of my jigsaw to chill out.
