I would definately recommend the www.flooringsupplies.co.uk I bought some bamboo from them a few years ago. They were great to deal with and very well priced when I bought it a few years ago.
  • Hi,
I requested a sample from flooringsupplies.co.uk a few weeks ago. Loved the sample and promptly ordered 38 square meters. When it was delivered the variety of shades in the one box I opened really was too much, although I understand that can be personal taste.
I phoned the customer services number and explained that I needed to return it. No problem, it's £35 delivery, but 20% of the value of the order as well !
I explained that this detail was not listed on their website, only the returns delivery charge of £35. The saleslady spoke to the manager and I was then instructed that they would not collect the product. I would only get my money back if I returned the product myself.
As I live in Essex and the company is in Norfolk I thought that I may have to reluctantly accept the extra cost (they call it a restocking charge) and pay £200 + £35 for delivery. Silly me!
I was then told I had no option as the manager had over-ridden authorisation and they would only accept the product back when I personally returned it.
So although the website looks fantastic, and the quality of the product seems good please be warned that if you need to send it back it will be very expensive :(
We are returning the product today and I just hope that I do get my full £1000 back.

Cheap wooden flooring has loads of short lengths and doesn't look nice when laid. Too many joins.

I would like to echo Melanies concerns above about exercising caution when ordering from flooringsupplies in Norfolk.

We placed a a large order and were very happy with it until we opened our second to last pack. 5 of the 6 planks were severely damaged and I telephoned assuming it would be sorted out, but they refuse to do anything and say that we must have damaged it ourselves. There is no evidence to support this allegation.

We find ourselves in a difficult situation because we need more wood to complete the floor but are not happy to pay them to replace the damaged goods they sent us.

On the basis of my initial phone call to them, I get the impression that it is company policy to do nothing about customer complaints.
