@Coupon-mad Ok, thank you very much!
Please can you edit your thread title to show it's UKCPM? We need the right info, if and when you come back with a claim.

Like I said, it doesn't always go that far but if it does we know what to do.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

You won't get a "video" as there is no video, it's ANPR which captures a shot of a VRN and uses OCR technology to enhance and capture the characters. It is known to be unreliable, it is unregulated as these  are unregulated companies, and just because they say it's accurate and true means diddly squat.
You received a speculative invoice not a "fine".
Your word is as good as a bunch of scammers why on earth do you think you should pay them anything if their silly camera box on a pole is wrong?
But you need to get all your ducks in a row, you haven't done very well so far; you say you read the newbies thread but still thought it was a "fine", you have the paperwork but still got the PPC's name wrong.

@fisherjim Well thank you for educating me on ANPR. I appreciate the advice even if it is a little harshly worded. I had noticed a lot of the advice comments on other threads are not always the most friendly so I was expecting that!
Apologies my spelling is not up to parr, I do try my best but I know reading and writing is not a strength of mine, which is actually one of the main reasons I'm nervous to have a court claim.
I've re-read the newbies thread and I'm still not seeing where it says anything about it being an invoice, the word invoice doesn't come up anywhere on the newbies thread that I can see. But I'll keep that in mind

Sorry not wishing to be harsh @avtavt123 but you are dealing with nasty greedy muppets that are only interested in your money, and they will ramp up the nasty comments, lies and accusations, so any comments on here are as intended friendly but frank.
No one on here is as harsh as a PPC or debt collector believe me.
Well it may not actually say invoice in the newbies thread but that's what they are, the PPC's dress them up to look exactly the same as an authority penalty charge notice that's why they call them parking charge notices, a windscreen ticket is even issued from an identical terminal I wonder why?
But the important thing is that the word "fine" isn't used as it makes these charges look too legitimate for the uninitiated with all sorts of barriers being imagined which don't exist.

@fisherjim Yes I'm sure you're right about that! I'll have to prepare myself for much worse. Nerve wracking but I plan to stand my ground. Although I think without the support of this forum I would cave, that's what they want at the end of the day.

Thanks for letting me know, I will avoid using the word fine, I don't want to give them power. All useful tips.
