Minimum balance to generate DD

In fact, my cunning plan has failed at 1st hurdle. I have credit balance on my iCloud account, and despite research telling me I can change my default payment method, I’ve discovered that iCloud balance will always be used before any other payment method and that can’t be changed. As it will be several months before credit card is charged, generating DD, I’ve moved another existing DD.Thanks to all who offered suggestions.0

You’ve sorted it now, but could you have paid/part paid a utility bill (e.g. mobile) with your credit card to cover it?

Max benefit is £11.88/year.Presumably in time Barclays will move Tesco Bank to their own system, at which point I suspect the quirk will disappear from Tesco credit cards.0

Imagine the shock of suddenly having to pay a 99p monthly credit card bill after getting away with it for years!
I look forward to the outraged forum post(s).
