Correct as @Gr1pr states, adjust your post on the forum but do send the whole of the edited template by email to the address advised in the template defence thread. I see you have now shortened the defence on the forum, thank you.

Is this OK to send as part of the longer format?

The facts known to the Defendant:

    2. The facts in this defence come from the Defendant's own knowledge and honest belief.  Conversely, the Claimant sets out a cut-and-paste incoherent and sparse statement of case. The POC appear to be in breach of CPR 16.4, 16PD3 and 16PD7, and fail to "state all facts necessary for the purpose of formulating a complete cause of action". The Defendant is unable, on the basis of the POC, to understand with certainty what case, allegation(s) and what heads of cost are being pursued, making it difficult to respond. However, the vehicle is recognised and it is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper and driver.

    3. The defendants car was present at the said BP petrol station on the said date and time. the defendent was unaware of any restrictions in place within the location as the signage within the location was not prominently displayed. Being at night, Some of the signagage was not adequately lit and some lit signage were not lit at all, light bulbs were broken, therefore the defendent was entirely unaware of the restrictions in place. The defendent used the several on-site facilities (petrol, toilet, supermarket, cafe) only to find that they had "overstayed". The defendent is a regular customer at this location, having used the said facility for 3 years on a weekly basis and has never been aware that there is a restriction on time within, and has never had any issues there before nor since.

3.1. The manager at the BP petrol station has contacted MET Parking in full support of the Defendant's dispute. She confirms this week that MET have agreed to cancel the ticket with immediate effect. There is no landowner support for this unfair charge and therefore no commercial justification or legitimate interest in pursuing it further.

Thanka for your help. I have now sent the defence to the email specified as a pdf attachment.

Typically how long does it take to get an acknowledgement back?

    Maybe a week.

You got an automatic email receipt within minutes, didn't you? Look after that.

The fact that the CNBC have received your Defence will be recorded in your MCOL Claim History in due course.

More than two weeks have passed since I sent my defence and I've not heard anything more. I see receipt of my defence has been logged online... Do they have a time limit to take this further? Or might that be that.
