Service Pack 3 XP

I have a message on my laptop that microsoft want me to do an update. When I click the button to update, I get so far and it tells me that service pack 3 is ready to update but I have to put the xp disc in the laptop. This laptop came with xp already loaded so what do I do now. Can anyone advise me please. Thanks.

I to do not think this is out on general release, its only available to testers at the moment.
The good news is that it is in the final stages of testing.
Tests and benchmarks have shown XP SP3 gives a 10% performance boost over XP SP2.

I have checked and it says 'Insert microsoft office xp professional with front page disc and click ok', so is this an important update or can I ignore it. Thanks.

its an update for office xp.
not xp the operating system.

look over the service pack details to decide if you want the service pack

You may want to have a look at M$KB 840169 Full-file version update may request Office source files

Its an Office update, its not vital, if you dont have office on a disk, just ignore it for now and run it normally from SP2.
