I think Wren is the name of their standard variable tariff. All their tariffs are named for birds.
It's likely that your landlord gave them your details so s/he could close out his account when you moved in.
Does it say anything on your bill about a lower rate in off-peak hours? How is your flat heated, does it have storage heaters?

That reading should be on your bill, so as you're unsure if the landlord did anything with it, please check for it.

If that isn't your opening reading on your bill, then they are billing for usage prior to you moving in.

Can't find a list of their older tariffs either, but you should be on their deemed tariff as a new customer, which I think is always the standard variable rate.

What sort of heating do you have? Are you on an economy 7 tariff, with a day and a night reading?

Also, does the serial number on your bill, match your meter? Is your meter in your flat, or a communal area? Meter mixups happen.

You've referred to them as a "scam company". However, they are your rightful supplier. According to your previous reply, they sent you a bill on 31st December, which is more than 28 days ago. Did you pay this bill? They would be entitled to block a switch where you owe them money from a bill issued more than 28 days ago. They should tell you the reason why they've blocked the switch.
If you've not paid the bill, pay it, then request the switch again. If you believe the bill has been miscalculated, then you can dispute it and that also ought to prevent them blocking another switch attempt, but it doesn't seem like you are alleging it is wrong, just that the energy is expensive.

Their Standard Variable tariff is called "Standard Variable". The fixed rate tariffs are named after birds. They only have two tariffs on offer at the moment. "Wren 9" is listed here: https://freepricecompare.com/home-energy/tariffs/top-20-cheapest-electricity-tariffs/ it was available from last October. Pricing doesn't look too bad. Question is whether there are exit fees and if they can be levied if the landlord signed up to this on the tenant's behalf.
Their SVR E7 rates are about 30p/14p peak/off peak (averages to 23p ish with the default 42% off peak usage). Their current fix (Kiwi Standard) is similar with a £58 exit fee.

The OP shouldn't be on a fixed rate tariff.  As someone who has moved in, they should be placed on the standard variable tariff with no exit fees.
If there are any exit fees, the landlord should pay, as the landlord signed up to Rebel.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
