Changing Travel Insurers

I currently have an annual travel insurance policy for Europe. I have already booked and paid deposits on a number of overseas trips for 2025. My policy expires in February and the premium has gone up a lot, so I'm thinking of changing insurer. What happens if I need to make a claim later in the year - will it be through my current insurer (the one when I booked), or my new insurer (when the claim happens)? Or will I get caught up in arguments between the two insurers? Anybody had experience of this?

Anu cover from your current policy ends on 22 February. When you take out a new policy you will need to declare up to date medical information. So anything occurring before then will obviously be declared and taken into consideration by the new company.
Any claim made for something arising after you take out your new policy will be made to the new policy .1
