Travel Insurance question

Hi, I have just booked our family summer holiday for July 2025.  My current travel insurance policy is valid until 22nd February 2025.  I am assuming therefore, that if anything changes before that date I will be covered.  However, if I choose a new provider after that date (because it cheaper or better coverage) will my summer holiday booking be covered under the new policy? Thanks

Should be but check the terms. One issue might be if something occurs before 22 Feb that might or might not force cancellation, eg you break your leg or a relative becomes ill, then there might be an issue if you do cancel after 22 Feb, as the new insurance would unlikely cover it as it was a pre-existing condition and the old may not because you cancelled after the policy expired. But that might even apply if you renew with existing insurer.
