Is this deceitful from BT
Options
When I log in to my BT account and go to my mobile plane it tells me the following:
Plan name: BT MOBILE 100GB SIM PLAN
Contract: 18 months.
Cost: £28.18 per month.
When your contract ends: Currently not available.
I am NOT in contract.... so why do they put 18 months in there... they should state ENDED.
Why are they deceitful in stating that the information is 'not currently available' as to when my contract ends...How would that information not be available! my contract ended ages ago! just state ENDED.
6 months ago this information made me believe I was still in an 18 month contract and I continued paying the £28 whilst I was out of contract....I did not need to be paying £28 per month for 100GB - I don't even use 1GB per month. I have now switched to GiffGaff for £6 per month.
Is there anything I can do about BT providing deceitful information that's clearly been done to take advantage of people like me who don't keep track of when contract ends. All I have done is put a complaint in to BT about this amongst other things.
When I've been giving them a total of £129 per month for mobile/TV/Broadband for 5 years...and I see they treat me like this - then it's bye bye BT when my TV/Broadband contract ends in June. Why deceive your customers when we are already paying a small fortune to you each month.
1 week ago over the phone they sold me a new package for £80 per month and it was only £80 per month for the first 3 months then jumping to £130 - the sales rep did not tell me this. I got off the phone happy I got a nice deal - then checked my emails and saw the actual break down of the cost. I had to cancel the next day and have to faff about cancelling it, returning tv/broadband tech, it's been a pain in the....

Surely you knew when you took the phone out and what the length of contract was at the time?Or alternatively, phone up and ask “please can I check when my contract finishes.”Personal responsibility and all that? It’s not difficult. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -

You don't sign up for 18 months and then it stops dead on 18 months later it falls into a rolling contract month to month. You have to intervene. If you left it because you don't track when your deal ends and it drops into more expensive territory then that's your problem.See you know when your TV/broadband ends, so why didn't you know when your mobile was ending?1
