UKCPS parking fine help.

hey I’m a 19 year old struggling with a ukcps fine and looking for some online help after being referred here.
I work in a pub and nextdoor is a photography shop company. Beside them is a private road leading to the back of a row of houses, however there is an area of land next to the establishment ( on said road ) which offers parking.
When I started working at the pub I asked the landlord if staff was okay to use this land to park and he told me there was a mutural agreement between him and said establishment that allowed us to use the land in out of hour times, which it was as I started work late after he closed shop nextdoor.
After a few weeks I had 3 consecutive letters from UKCPS which I’ll link on this fourm, stating I owe £70 (x3) for parking. I sent the establishment a email asking if there was anything he could do and he sent a response stating he sent a letter to my boss about the enforcement of parking fines (which I wasn’t informed about and my boss says he doesn’t know about) I’ll attach said email in the thread too
so after some online browsing I was under the impression to ignore the fines which kept getting sent out including threatening letters saying it will proceed to court.
then a company called moor side legal team from BD1 sent a few letters saying how they’re picking it up as it’s escalated as there’s been no contact from myself to UKCPS, I ignored them too.

After a few months from the moor side letters (today) now being over a year since the initial parking letters. I’ve received a letter from HM Courts and Tribunal services saying a money claim has been made against me and with paperwork following with documents asking me how much of the claim I want to admit. Admission forms and defence forums. It also has a box regarding how much I’d like to dispute.
on the front of said letter it says if I don’t reply to the form the claimant could request a County Court Judgment (CCJ).
there is links attached to the letter with websites of help and support and also phone numbers to national debtlines
On the letter sent *white not brown* it says the return address is PO BOX 300 Northampton NN1 2TX, which when googled the first thing that comes up is how it’s scaremongering trying to rush people into paying a debt to avoid being taken to court and is a totally against the law to send unlawfully. It also says to check it’s legit.

However I’m sure UKCPS wouldn’t be sending illigal court letters
im on here looking for advice on what I should do next. I’m assuming letting it go un-noticed any longer wouldn’t be beneficial at this point. The amount of the fine has gone from £70 to £170 (with moorside legal) to £264 on this letter which I’m also assuming I’ll have 2 more of from each of the 3 fines with a total of £800.
do I get in touch with UKCPS and tell them I’ll pay the initial fine and nothing else or I’ll see them in court to settle the rest. Or. do I ignore it further and not reply unless I get a court claim.
and if I do get a court claim I’ll have to see what the courts say and supposedly pay accordingly on a pay scheme. As I only work part time
desperate for some advice as I don’t want to pay £800 for going to work?

Have you only had ONE claim so far, for one of the PCNs?I’m also away a lot this year and if I miss a court date I’ll get an instant CCJ and other troubles.Really don’t want to be £800 down from going to work.0 -
You won't miss a court date because you get to state which weeks you can't attend a hearing.
You won't get a CCJ by following our advice.
I told you exactly what to search for and just copy as the defence. It is so very easy.
And I'm a lady ('bud' made me laugh!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

With a Claim Issue Date of 24th January, you have until Wednesday 12th February 2025 to file an Acknowledgment of Service('AOS'), but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AOS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AOS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 26th February 2025 to file a Defence. That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the AOS guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an AOS, nor that for filing a Defence.Nowhere in those Particulars is there any explanation of what the driver is alleged to have done wrong.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an AOS has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
You need to be aware that those Particulars of Claim are totally inadequate.
It is alleged that 'the vehicle was parked in breach of the terms on the C's signs (the contract)'.
This will be an easy win.2 -
With respect I am somewhat wary of the comment that all this is 'no biggie' for the OP. Any legal proceedings will cause distress and anxiety to a lay person. Do said forum members, and/or the forum, offer some form of a guarantee or indemnity if the OP follows the specific cut and paste defence wording and guidance as recommended on this forum? I doubt it.
I have a friend in a similar position to the OP. Again they parked in haste on some UKCPS administered land and did not realise the consequences. My friend has ignored all related correspondence to date which mirrors the OP's. My friend re-visited the parking area and spoke to some local business owners who told him that they were aware of many of their clients and service users who over recent months and years had received PCN's from UKCPS followed up by various intimidatory items of correspondence from their agents. All such clients ignored such correspondence and eventually the correspondence ceased. However, none of them ever received a formal court claim. The introduction of Moorside Legal appears to have upped thee ante. Do you agree?
It may well be that Moorside Legal (who are a small Bradford based law firm) are being paid on commission, but to date are there any examples of the firm, or any agent of UKCPS, having ever made a successful claim in respect of their PCN's in a small claims court of England and Wales?
Look forward to receiving any feedback.0
