Hello folks
Ive Read older threads about this kinda topic but this is slightly different. I know il most likely over worrying but as it’s causing me anxiety I thought I’d ask here for help.
so went to Busch gardens and there’s a stall there which was offering a free 7 night stay. Etc eyc
thought I’d try it out as it looked professional enough and was inside Busch theme park.

They asked for ID as they do in many places in the US. Gave them my card and went through a fine min promo on a meeting I had to go to etc. I figured time share so said no.
but, as they took the details from my licence, does that leave me open to fraud? Nobody has my card or my photo.

Worried about all sorts and most likely overly so but your help would be massively helpful please

I don't think you're open to fraud.
If you think about it, all they've got is a copy of your name, address, date of birth and driver number. Hundreds of people already know the bulk of that information, it's not a secret.
Imagine you found a driving licence on the street. Even if you had the physical licence, what fraud could you do with it?0 -
Even if there was some sort of fraud, what are the chances of anybody in the US knowing what they could do with a UK licence? They even get confused by the date format ("this must be fake ID, buddy, there ain't no 15th month")..1

Thanks folks. It’s just that the good old internet gives all sorts of advice about how you’re wide open to fraud the second someone has your details and especially passport or driving license
There was even something from gov.uk or dvla (can’t remember) about not posting your driving card photo online as you’re open to identity theft, as apparently some young folk post a shot of it to show the world they’ve passed their test and have a licence0 -

A quick Google search for images of 'UK driving licence' brings up literally hundreds of examples.
Here's one:
Indeed the first example when I searched was actually posted by gov.uk

Ah sorry I meant having the actual licence number for he or anyone else would be a security risk for that person online0

Honestly, I have no idea what can be done. Just know that when I check online, the internet (yeh, I know) warns you senseless to panic as you’re at risk of I’d fraud.0
