Hello all, I'm late today but I was out early to get an x-ray and the wind was freezing, I was glad to get home. I was still 3rd in the queue and then got pulled every which way but loose when I had to stand, sit and then lie down. It's all done now and as always the staff were lovely. There was a large queue when I was on the way out so I made the right call going early.
I went to the village pharmacy afterwards to pick up our meds and both of us were owed some. Mine were sorted quickly but I have to go back tomorrow for Mr Fix It's. Then I called in the co-op for a few bits and went up to Dad's to pay his bills online. He was as nice as pie this morning but then Mr Fix It was with me who won't take his nonsense. Many thanks for the supportive posts, it means a lot. 🧡
Now I have a load in the wm and another waiting to be done. I managed to sort the jumble at the bottom of the wardrobe yesterday and some items have gone in the cs bag, some in the rag bag and all the shoes have been paired and put in a shoe organiser bag.
Tea tonight will be hm chicken curry, rice and some onion bhajis which I found lurking in the freezer.
Gers Mr Fix It had the exact same problem with LLoyds earlier this month, glad it was sorted quickly.
Take care all, stay safe.

@Nan - I found with my now late Dad that, as he aged and needed more support, he keenly felt the lose of control of his life. Asking for help was difficult and accepting it even more difficult. And yes, a lot of things were my fault! Shifting into being cantankerous was his way of still being the parent. That took me a while to understand. My shopping trip was swift and successful. I bumped into the husband of the friend I was going to visit so was able to take the meds that he was collecting for her. A brief visit on the way home and I was back here by 11.30a.m. Without TV my day has been peaceful. I caught up with the JBO final which was sheer joy - I am so pleased that my favourite won as the result seemed so unlikely earlier on. The child burst into tears with happiness, I didn't even though I was delighted. All the youngster did such a great job overall. Now I want to catch up with the pottery programme. TV dish repair man is coming tomorrow morning so normal service should be restored. The chap up the hill asked me scout about at a particular part of his land (the family had also decamped) as he was being told that power had been restored when it hadn't - I found a very big and very dead tree lying on the ground having brought down the electricity line with it. I took a couple of photos so he could go back to the company with the problem.8
