Did the problem occur immediately after it was serviced, or later?Librasue said:Combi boiler serviced recently. Central heating ok. Hot water to taps. No hot water to shower.1 -
Make and model? What controls and display does it have?Librasue said:Combi boiler serviced recently. Central heating ok. Hot water to taps. No hot water to shower.
And, when you turn on a hot tap, what - exactly - does the boiler do (if anything)?1 -
Other hot taps are OK so it's unlikely to be a bolier problem. If your shower has thermostatic control (one tap to set the temperature and the other to set the flow rate) then it could be the thermostatic cartridge needs cleaning or replacing.1

I don't think any outlet supplies DHW.
OP would need to come back with more info, but good chance they've contacted the servicing GS and had it sorted.1 -
Shower water temperature fluctuated before boiler service. Some sludge cleaned from boiler. New Aquilisa thermostat control. Water ran cold increasingly long time for a week before producing hot water. Now only gives cold. I don’t know what the boiler does when I turn on hot tap. Bathroom downstairs, boiler upstairs in cupboard. I’m in late 70s and live alone.1

Do you know where the sludge was removed from - the name of the part?
Eg, 'plate' or 'secondary' 'exchanger'? 'Diverter valve'?
The original fault - was it that hot water would come through for a while, then it would go cold, and - if left running - would go hot again?

When we had a similar problem it turned out the cartridge in the shower unit needed changing.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. New Aquilisa thermostat.Librasue, it';s going to be really hard to sort this out from this side of the screen. If this issue began following the service, then you need the fellow back. It could be something as simple as they left an isolating valve to the shower off.1
