Just wanted to ask - sometimes when reading peoples posts on some of the threads they state "I have subscribed to your thread" Not sure what this means - does it just mean they are follwing or are they paying some sort of subscription to the thread?

They likely mean they've used the bookmark button
to add the thread to their bookmarked threads page, and/or configured their notification settings things so they are alerted to further posts in that thread.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com1 -
There's a setting in your account to receive notifications for "New replies on threads I've participated in".So by replying to a thread with anything, even just the word "subscribed" they'll get notifications when the thread is updated/commented on.You can achieve much the same result by using the "bookmark" function and (at least in my opinion) bookmarks are easier to manage. I've got the "new replies" notifications turned off.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.
