I must add Q clear to my list. Most are poor I've found but was stunned by this W&F.Having spent my life doing the 'right thing' and being eco friendly there comes a time when you need to compromise. The trouble with getting a handyman I've found is that they often don't get back to you or are booked up. Don't want small jobs.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

dllive said:Thanks all for your comments. I think in the first instance I will try Wet & forget and see how I get on. Thanks so much! You have two good products here, dllive, the Wet & Forget, and Rob's Q-clear. Both clearly work well. Use whichever is the easiest to find or buy where you are.Can you do the applying yourself? If 'yes', then obviously be careful about how you handle them. If not, this would be an ideal 'slot-in' job for a local handyperson/ home maintenance fellow. You have to be safe, so use the product made for the job.

The algae remover products are all basically just dilute sodium hypochlorite, which is just concentrated bleach.0
