So my DW has an iPhone and we want to save pics from it onto a memory stick.
Have followed instructions but cannot see how to do it.
We get as far as 4 but cannot see the stick anywhere to tap!
The stick is new and shows on my computer.

Connect your iPhone to the storage device using the Lightning or USB-C connector, or connect the device directly to your iPhone.
Go to the Photos app
on your iPhone.
Select the photos and videos you want to export.
Tap
, then tap Export Unmodified Original.
Tap your storage device (below Locations), then tap Save."

Possible the OP doesn't save photos to the iCloud. If they did they could download them directly to the stick from iCloud.

This is the stick I bought from Amazon and I have now downloaded the Files app but the stick shows in light grey and cannot be opened. Yes pics are on icloud.

Have you formatted the stick for use on the iPhone?Obviously no need if you download directly.

Well I must be really thick as nothing seems to work as per instructions! Plugged the stick into a Macbook to format it. This is instruction 2...
- Open Disk Utility. You can find it in Applications > Utilities. No it isn't! So I did a search and opened disk utilities and the stick is already FAT32 formatted. So should work!
Why don't any of the instructions tell us that?
Now to get it working on DW's iphone.

Simply go to iCloud.com, log in and then click on Photos.0

As I said this is for my wife, when she logs into her icloud and clicks onto the pics she can then download but that downloads onto her phone, not to the stick. There is no option to download to the stick.0
