There is no need to spend money you don't have on expensive birthday presents. Your wife knows your situation so should be happy with a card (you are also funding her weight loss jabs). Your daughter is a toddler so just a charity shop gift for her. Ask friends and relatives for cash towards any activities for her. Don't add to the plastic mountain. Your mother would not expect an expensive gift if she knew/knows you are in debt. A nice photo of your toddler in a frame would probably be appreciated.
Camping trips don't cost the earth (canvas camper here). Do a supermarket shop before you and take your own food. You will be surprised what you can save on when you put your mind to it. The problem with credit card debt is that once it is high you just think you can stick everything on it. Same with overdrafts.
Follow the advice from the experts on here, read through some of threads and see how people have managed to sort out their debts. There's a lot of them. Actually there's quite a pattern of posters on here who do not have their partner on board to help solve the problem even though they both did the spending..3 -
