Compton Group dereliction of duty to client

Does anyone else have problems with Compton Group? We have been unable to let our apartment since October due to on going water ingress within the building structure. Several apartments are facing the same problem but Compton are refusing to take responsibility even though a solicitor has confirmed the lease states they are responsible for structural problems. 

We are looking to see if there is any possibility of a class action.

    I assume that you are a leaseholder, and the company you mention is the landlord or freeholder or management company.

    According to your lease, who is responsible for maintaining/repairing the building? The landlord/freeholder, or the management company?


    Your options include...
    • Getting a court order instructing whoever is responsible, to do the repairs required by the lease (You could do that by yourself, or jointly with others to share the cost)

    Additionally, I guess you could try making a claim against whoever is responsible for repairs for your lost rental income - as they've breached the lease, and/or been negligent.
