Over a month ago I wanted to book two return fights to Warsaw. I used the website and got to the point of payment. I had £30 of Avios points to use and so the flights were £203. I paid but the website came up with an Error message. I tried again. Suddenly the price changed to £207 so I assumed the Error message was due to me trying to pay at the same time there was a price change. However, this happened again and got an Error message. As I was unable to book the flights, I rang BA and spent 45 minutes waiting to get through. Eventually the BA rep said she could book the flights for £278 but could not apply my Avios points. She said the price was going up as we speak. The price was showing as less on the website. She waited whilst I tried again to book the flights on the website but again got the Error message. So I had to book the flights with her. She suggested we use the Complaints form to make a complaint. I did so and received an email with the Complaint reference. Four days later I used the reference to check the Complaint status only to find the complaint had been closed and I would receive an email informing me of the results. This email has never appeared. I emailed the Global email address and have still heard nothing. I have used BA Flyer to leave a message and have had no response. I emailed the Avios email and they responded saying it was nothing to do with them. Last week I therefore created a new complaint stating that my first complaint had not sent an email. Three days ago I checked my new complaint to look at the status and it has been closed. Apparently I will receive an email. It has yet to arrive and I do not hold out any hope. I tried ringing BA but after 30 minutes on hold, I had to stop the call.I know BA are having lots of technical issues lately and yesterday their site was down around 4.30pm. The app was down a few days ago - the website crashing was on the news. All I want to know is why I could not book my flight to Warsaw on the website and why the BA rep was unable to apply my Avios points. I have asked for the difference in price between £278 and £207. However, how do I contact anyone? I want to book flights to Hamburg but I am worried that the same thing with happen again. I have never experienced this with the Ryanair or Easyjet website. Taking this to ADR is useless as you can only complain about flights after they have flown. I'm not going until June!

Moral: fly on Ryanair or Easyjet if you care about service.
If you really do need to use BA flights and spend Avios, make your booking through Iberia or Qatar.
